You Get the Best

API has worked hard since establishing the agency in 1989 to earn its solid reputation for its quality of care, reliability, and value offered through our home care agency. This same level of service is offered through API's Staffing Division, which can provide a complete range of health-related professional personnel—fully credentialed, experienced, and with excellent references. From medical and dental healthcare professionals to home caregivers, API can provide staff to meet your specific requirements and efficiently adapt as your needs change.

Our experienced Human Resource Team will ensure that the staff that you receive has a current license/certification, BLS/CPR, and Mantoux. API will run a criminal DHS background study, OIG, SAM, National Sex Offender, and DMV check. Credentials and continuing education continued to be monitored on a monthly basis, ensuring that our employees met the state guidelines.

As part of the onboarding process, each employee will review the guidelines for OSHA, HIPAA, and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Compliance Training. Anyone working within a home care setting will also attend API's Home Care Orientation. Each employee is covered under API's Workman's Compensation, General Liability, and Malpractice insurance (Dentists will carry their own).

  • I've never used a staffing agency before; how does it work?

Each client is assigned a staffing coordinator(s) to be their point of contact for requests. If the primary staffing coordinator(s) isn't available, all internal employees are cross-trained to assist our clients.

Staffing coordinator(s) are available to assist our clients from 6:00 am–11:30 pm, seven days a week. An after-hour staffing coordinator is available for emergencies twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.

Our experienced management team is available Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, for questions and concerns, and our director of nursing is also available for emergencies after business hours and on weekends and holidays.

  • Will supplemental staff cost me more?

The overall cost remains much lower than it would to bring on your own employee for a short period of time rather than taking on the risk of having existing staff burn out, become ill or injured, or work overtime.

  • Why not just ask my own staff to work overtime?

Many companies request and sometimes require their own staff to work overtime. With fewer qualified healthcare workers, the stress increases, as do problems with quality, attendance, and, ultimately, retention. API can help avoid staff burnout, reduce the risk of work-related injuries, avoid productivity losses, and limit turnover expenses.

  • How quickly can you find someone for us?

Because of API's longevity in the industry, extended client relationships that have gained our respect, and a deep pool of qualified, experienced staff, API is generally able to fulfill its clients' requests within a 24-hour period.

  • Can I have the same person?

Absolutely! Continuity is important not only to our clients and staffing department but also to our healthcare professionals. Our staff often becomes part of the team at our clients, leading to requests from our clients and families by name.

  • How do I get started?
